Orientation continues with our first assignment. A scavenger hunt. A list of 15 conceptual images that touch

upon emotion, recollection and discovery. Toilets were part of my series. We were asked to

present 20 "test" images today. Some really beautiful work. Group critique has its challengegs. To judge

and be judged. It is an acquired skill.

Shihchieh Wei is one of my first “friends.” He is from Taiwan. He introduced me to a fantastic Japanese book

store/cafeteria  on 6th Ave.  He also introduced me to a supermarket with the most delicious and affordable noodles

and Bento boxes.  I call him Wei (Way) because I, like so many people, can not pronounce his first name. He is an

accomplished shooter who has two years of New York under his belt. He will be famous one day. He is that good.

We wandered around the New York Public library after class.

The famous part of the library, the one in all the movies, is closed for construction. There are a number of other

smaller libraires open to the public.

Beautiful architecture.

A great way to spend a Sunday.
