The deep Prussian blue of cyanotypes is like an emotional sediment, a colour that holds memory the way water holds light. The long-exposure process lets me work outdoors, in direct conversation with the sun. It is a technique that mirrors the self‑renewing cycles I’m drawn to in nature. Cyanotypes allow me to bring archival family photographs and slides to life. The long exposures and reliance on sunlight create a space where past and present technologies overlap: digital transparencies, and inherited images pressed into a single surface. In that wash of blue, I document what fades and what continues.
